Patient’s Concerns and Dental Condition

Rogelio was particularly concerned about his lower and upper front teeth: Lower Front Teeth: They had become loose and had large spaces between them due to periodontal disease.Upper Front Teeth: These teeth were separated, worn down, and fractured from years of use.He wanted to enhance both the function and appearance of his smile. The advanced state of his periodontal disease made it clear that immediate attention and treatment were necessary to prevent further deterioration.

Diagnosis and Treatment Plan

After a thorough examination, we diagnosed Rogelio with advanced periodontal disease. His condition required a multi-phase approach to stabilize the health of his gums and teeth, and ultimately, restore the aesthetics of his smile.

Our treatment plan at Clove Dental included the following steps:

  1. Periodontal Treatment:
    • Scaling and root planing to clean below the gum line and remove bacteria.
    • Laser treatment to disinfect and promote healing in the affected gum tissues.
  2. Lower Front Teeth (Teeth #22 to #27):
    • Due to the severity of damage, his lower front teeth were extracted.
    • A fixed dental bridge was placed from teeth #22 to #27 to replace the missing teeth, improving his ability to chew and enhancing his overall appearance.
  3. Upper Front Teeth:
    Four porcelain veneers were bonded to his upper front teeth, closing the gaps and restoring the fractured and worn-out teeth. This gave Rogelio a more cohesive and aesthetically pleasing smile.

The Results

The transformation was remarkable. Rogelio’s smile makeover not only improved his appearance but also his oral functionality. The fixed dental bridge restored his ability to chew properly, while the porcelain veneers gave him a brighter, more uniform smile.
